Terms and rules

The Rules (the simple stuff)

1. No threats of harm to a poster will be tolerated, including the divulging of any private personal information of another poster.
2. No overt bigotry based on race, nationality, religion or creed, gender identity, or sexual orientation will be tolerated. This does not mean covert bigotry will be ignored.
3. Do not harass other posters, including via PM. If a poster has asked you to stop, or has stopped responding, please do the same.
4. The posting of NSFW material should be preceded by a warning of such. NSFW images should be covered with spoiler tags and given the same warning. If you do not know how to use spoiler tags, ask someone. A lot of us post from work; be mindful. No one likes HR.
5. Threads should generally remain on-topic. Obviously a main discussion can branch off into other, tangential discussions. Be mindful; if the thread has deviated from the topic for some period of time, it's time to take the discussion to another thread.
6. No forum on this board should be used to coordinate attacks of any kind on other message boards.
7. Posts that consist exclusively of repeated personal attacks are not permitted; moderator discretion applies. We don't mind people blowing off steam now and again and so are relaxed about the occasional "f### off" type comment in a response, but full-on flamewars will receive our attention. Extended grievances should be taken to private conversations.

Repeated rules violations may potentially result in a temporary or permanent ban at the discretion of the forum staff (see below). We make an effort to be transparent and discuss such disciplinary actions with users as needed, but ultimately this cannot be guaranteed in all cases.

Terms of Service (the legal stuff)

The providers ("we", "us", "our") of the service provided by this web site ("Service") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts. Content submitted express the views of their author only.

These terms may be changed at any time without notice, although we will make, at our discretion, a good-faith effort to notify users in advance and/or discuss such revisions.
